Challenges Guide

Everything you need to know to start playing, generating, and competing with friends.

Playing a challenge

Pick a pre-built challenge and track your career mode run.

1

Browse and pick a challenge

Head to the Challenges page and browse by difficulty, mode, or team. Each card shows the team, number of seasons, and how many people have played it.
2

Read the details

Click any challenge to open its detail page. You'll see the full summary, any modifiers (transfer restrictions, budget caps, etc.), and whether scenario events are enabled.
3

Start your run

Click Play this challenge. You'll need a free account — sign in or register if prompted. A run is created and you're taken straight to your run page.
4

Track your progress

Your run page shows the current season, any active scenario events, and the season narrative and objectives if the challenge has them. Use the +5 / +10 buttons to log games played through the season.
5

Resolve events before advancing

If the challenge has scenario events enabled, you must mark each active event as Done or Skip before you can end the season. Events are honour-system — apply them in-game as described.
6

End the season

Once all events are resolved, click End season. The next season's narrative and objectives are generated. Repeat until the challenge duration is complete, then mark your run finished.

Your active runs are always accessible from My Account → Runs.

Generating a challenge

Use the AI generator to create a custom narrative challenge for any team.

1

Open the generator

Go to Generate a challenge — you'll need to be signed in.
2

Choose a team (optional)

Pick a game year, then optionally filter by league to narrow the team list. Leave both blank and the AI will pick a random team for extra variety.
3

Set difficulty and mode

Difficulty (Easy → Legendary) affects how restrictive the generated modifiers will be. Mode determines what kind of challenge is generated: Manager (traditional career mode) or Player career.
4

Configure options

Set the number of seasons and whether to enable scenario events — self-policed random events that fire each season (injuries, transfer embargoes, financial crises). These add unpredictability but are entirely honour-system.
5

Generate

Hit Generate challenge. The AI writes a full narrative premise, season-by-season objectives, and a set of modifiers tailored to the team and settings. This usually takes a few seconds.
6

Play or refine

Review the generated challenge. Click Play this challenge to start immediately, Play with friends to create a group and start, or Generate another to try again with the same settings.

Generated challenges are saved publicly and appear in the browse page, so other users can pick them up too.

Playing with friends

Create a group, share the invite link, and race each other on a leaderboard.

1

Create a group

On any challenge's detail page, click Create a group & play. This creates a private group for that challenge, starts your run, and takes you to your run page. Alternatively, use Play with friends on the generator result card after generating a challenge.
2

Share the invite link

Your run page shows a group bar at the bottom with your invite code. Click Share to copy the link. Send it to your friends however you like — Discord, WhatsApp, wherever.
3

Friends join via the link

When a friend opens the invite link they'll see the group leaderboard page. Clicking Join group automatically adds them to the group and starts their own run for the same challenge, then takes them to their run page.
4

Everyone plays independently

Each player plays the challenge in their own save file at their own pace. The group has no enforcement mechanism — it's honour-system. Apply the challenge modifiers and scenario events as described in the challenge.
5

Check the leaderboard

The group leaderboard ranks players by how far they've progressed: season reached first, then games played in the current season. Click Leaderboard on your run page to see the current standings.

The leaderboard updates in real time as players advance seasons. You can be in multiple groups for the same challenge — useful for running separate competitions with different friend groups.

Anyone with the invite link can join — there's no limit on group size. Share in a community server to run open competitions.
