Public API Terms
Version: 2026-10-02b
1. Scope
These terms govern use of the FCRadar public API, served from pub-api.fcradar.gg, in addition to FCRadar's general Terms & Conditions. By requesting or using an API key, you agree to both.
2. Access requests and approval
API access is granted on request and requires admin approval. We may request additional detail about your intended use case, approve, reject, or revoke access at our discretion, and change tier limits or available endpoints with notice where practical.
3. Tiers, quotas, and fair use
Each API key is issued on a tier (free or paid) with a monthly request quota and a per-minute burst limit. The burst limit is enforced on a rolling 60-second window: if you exceed it, requests return an HTTP 429 response with a Retry-After header telling you exactly how many seconds to wait — up to 60 — before the window resets and requests are accepted again. No separate penalty or cooldown is applied beyond that window. Exceeding the monthly quota also returns 429, with Retry-After set to the time remaining until your quota resets at the start of your next billing month. Keys must not be shared across unrelated projects, used to circumvent quota limits, or used to scrape or republish bulk data outside the scope of your approved use case.
The image CDN (pub-api.fcradar.gg/cdn/{token}/...) is provided so your application can display FCRadar-hosted images — player portraits, club crests, and kit assets — within your approved use case. It runs on a separate rate limit from the request quota above, but is not unlimited: we monitor request volume and bandwidth per key, and may throttle or revoke CDN access where usage is disproportionate to your approved use case — for example, bulk-mirroring our image library, hot-linking at a scale unrelated to your application's actual traffic, or serving images to a separate product.
4. Permitted use
Your API key is approved for the specific project or site described in your access request. You may use the API and image CDN only to operate, maintain, and enhance that existing project — not to build, launch, or operate a separate product or service, including one that offers the same or substantially similar functionality to FCRadar itself (an EA Sports FC career mode database, player search, or comparison tool), whether as a direct competitor or a rebranded, white-labeled use of our data. If your intended use changes significantly from what you submitted, contact us before proceeding — expanding beyond your approved use case is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate revocation.
5. Attribution (free tier)
If your key is on the free tier, any public-facing use of FCRadar data — in your application's UI, documentation, or marketing — must include a clear, visible credit naming FCRadar as the data source, with a link back to fcradar.gg. A text credit or our logo both satisfy this — ready-to-use, copyable snippets for both are on your API Access page. The paid tier does not require attribution, though it's always appreciated.
6. Data use
Data returned by the API is sourced from publicly available EA Sports FC career mode data and FCRadar's own processing of it. FCRadar is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Electronic Arts Inc. You are responsible for how you use, store, and present this data in your own application.
7. API keys
Keep your API key confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your key. You can revoke your own key at any time from your account; we may revoke a key that violates these terms without notice.
8. No warranty
The API is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, response times, or that data is free of errors. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the API at any time.
